The final humiliation
As a former Republican State Legislator in Iowa who endured the wrath of both the liberal media establishment and the political old boys' network (both Democrat AND Republican), I can certainly emphasize with what Governor Palin is going through right now. Her credentials and her actions are impressive and I'm looking forward to hearing her tonight on the issues. As a nation, we need to move away from gossip parties and tabloid trash before we totally humiliate ourselves on the world stage.

I've been following Gov. Palin for several months now and was stunned when Sen. McCain announced her as his choice for VP. I had been sending every request for money back to the campaign with a note that no money was coming until I knew his running mate. Several times I mentioned Mrs. Palin's name as a potential candidate. The day he announced, my check was in the mail!

The savagery of the leftist media is disheartening. Their sneering discounting of us who live in the real America is telling. I hope it is galvanizing those in fly-over country. I spent a year in Idaho and it was eye opening. These people who live in places like Alaska and Idaho are real people - tough people who take care of business and each other. The media and political elite would do well to study them more for what they contribute to our country instead of disparaging them because they find self-sufficiency infinitely more satisfying than the best Chardonnay and Chèvre à la Rose! Give me a moose burger any time - good tasting and low in fat!

For the record, I'm a 63 y/o grandmother who raised 2 girls and then my niece and nephew. I was single most of those years and held down a full time job where I went from receptionist to cardiac ultrasound tech. I retired last year, making 6 figures at the end of my career with just a high school education. The American dream is not dead but you do have to work for it. I salute Gov. Palin and all the conservative women in this great nation. God Bless America!
I am totally with you. Gov. Palin is a breath of fresh air in the dirty world of Washington politics. And the left knows that, and that's why the left and their media machine is out there trying to destroy Palin's family, her character, and even her achievements. The liberal hypocrisy continues as liberals call themselves champions of women's right, and yet, are quick to dismiss the acomplishment of a woman that does not share their social and political views. Liberals are even attacking Palin's daughter for having a child out of wedlock!!! Isn't that great, given that these are the same liberals that encourage teenagers to have sex and do not want to tell teenagers that abstinence from sex until they are adults is perfectly acceptable.
Gov. Palin is a perfect pick. How can they even
mention her 17 yr old daughter, she is young and
can make mistakes. Bill Clinton was a mature
man, and president of this great country, when
he did digusting things in the oval offlice.
The left said that was his personal life, give
me a break. They make a big stink over a young
girls mistakes. I thank God for someone with
character.

Thank You, Bert
